The Lutherkirche Harthau was consecrated in 1908, because the Old Church had become too small for Harthau in the prospering times of industrialization and the associated increase in population.
The altar is made of sandstone,
the sculptor unknown.
In 1986, the altar received the current essay
from the church of Magdeborn (near Leipzig), which had to give way to brown coal mining.
