The Fuente Nueva peak (2,366 metres) is the second highest peak on La Palma and offers incredible views of the Taburiente caldera. As a curiosity, hanging from the side of the mountain, you can see what seems to be the face of a man engraved on the rock. It is said that it was carved by the ancient inhabitants of the island, but it is more likely that it is actually a natural formation.
