Tips
A beautiful medieval gate, which was rebuilt in 1760 - 71 years after being destroyed by fire. In the direction of Turmberg on the path "Am Stadtgraben" you can still see the remains of the city wall.

The Basler Gate Tower with the Basler Gate is the last remaining tower above the Durlach city wall gates. The tower is not normally open to the public, but is regularly opened to the public on Open Monument Day. A visit is worthwhile, but requires good fitness in confined spaces, as the spiral staircases are narrow and steep.
