Hiking
From 1938 to 1945 it was brought into line as the "Reichsbund für Vogelschutz". From 1946 it was rebuilt as the BfV.
In 1965 the association was renamed the "German Association for Bird Protection" (DBV) and divided into regional associations.
In 1990, the merger with the regional associations newly founded in the former GDR to form the Nature Conservation Union Germany (NABU) took place.
