The historic town hall, almost exactly in the middle of the Hochstädter Hauptstraße, was first mentioned in 1598. A century later, a new town hall was built, a half-timbered house in an open stone hall. On the lower floor, an apple wine restaurant welcomes guests, while upstairs there is space for exhibitions and other cultural events. The square behind the town hall is the "Tanzplacke", on which the curb used to be and which is still used today for festivals and concerts.
