Like any self-respecting city dating back to the Middle Ages, Dronero also has the Devil's Bridge. Legend has it that the Droneresi asked the Devil for help to build the bridge over the Torrente Maira. He accepted on condition that he was offered the soul of the one who would first cross it. The astute inhabitants of Dronero, however, when the work was completed, had a dog go to test the architectural work. The Devil ran away in anger.

Dronero also has its "Devil's Bridge", an ancient medieval bridge that crosses the Maira stream and joins two edges of the city. This legend about the devil's bridge also tells that the inhabitants asked the devil for help to help them build it resistant to the force of the torrent
