Hiking

The craftsman village at the Hexenturm in Rüthen was built in 2007 by the Rüthener Förderverein Heimatpflege u. traditionelles Brauchtum (Rüthen Association for Homeland Care and Traditional Customs) based on the model of medieval building workshops. In the complex of buildings, the history of old, typical, and almost extinct trades (stone carvers, blacksmiths) is vividly presented. Framed by monuments of different eras (Hexenturm) and functions (Alte Seilerei - Old Rope Factory), fine arts workshops (painting, sculpture, object design, etc.) take place annually in the summer.
