Sports Meadow at the English Garden

Pure Munich way of life: a pint in the beer garden, sunbathing on the meadow, surfers on the Eisbach and lots of culture in the landscape park. With an area of 3.7 square kilometers, the English Garden is one of the largest city parks in the world. With its streams, lakes, meadows and beer gardens, it is the most popular place to relax in Munich. The English Garden is divided into a southern and a northern part by the Isarring. The park is divided into the lively southern part and the rather quiet northern part. The English Garden is a Mecca for recreational athletes: cyclists and joggers train on 78 kilometers of paths. In spring and summer, the tightrope walkers tighten their slacklines between the trees, Frisbee freaks throw their discs and amateur kickers meet on the football pitches to play football.
