    The Ölschnitztal is one of the most beautiful river valleys in the Fichtelgebirge and has a rich flora and fauna. As a further highlight in Bad Berneck, a family nature trail was laid out in 2021. Educational fun for young and old is guaranteed there.

    Numerous plants and animals from our homeland are presented on 25 boards. Among other things, the visitor learns something about leaves as antique toilet paper, flying gems, diving birds, shimmering butterflies, plants that tap into tree roots, pearl suppliers, inedible salamanders, forest policemen, forgetful squirrels or a legless lizard.

    The boards were designed with high-quality photos and entertaining texts. A funny hand-drawn mascot specially made for the nature trail greets you on each board. To walk the approx. 3.5 m long path, just follow the teacher owl.
