The Bernhardus Church in Rastatt is the oldest documented parish church in Rastatt. It was the church of the former village of Rastetten.

The first written mention of the Bernhardus Church comes from the year 1207 and is about a restoration. The church has a high Gothic choir. In the 17th century it was badly damaged by the chaos of the war. Due to the upcoming construction of a new church in the center of the emerging baroque planned town of Rastatt, it was initially only restored provisionally. From 1770 a partially new building followed in a simple baroque style. The tower stump and the choir were preserved. The previous Alexander Church was consecrated to the blessed Margrave Bernhard II of Baden in 1771 and was used as a cemetery chapel until the middle of the 19th century. The church still serves as a place of worship today.
