Large Olympic Ski Jump Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Always impressive, the old as well as the new ski jump and also steeped in history, if you consider that the construction of the Olympic Stadium in 1935 was only possible because Hitler forcibly united Garmisch and Partenkirchen on January 1, 1935 for the 1936 Olympic Games, despite resistance from the two municipal councils .

The large Olympic ski jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located on the Gudiberg and is traditionally the venue for the New Year's ski jumping event of the Four Hills Tournament. It has now become a landmark of Garmisch, and (almost) everyone knows the ski jump from the New Year's ski jumping event broadcast on TV every year.
