When walking through the historic district of Partenkirchen, every step takes you back to times gone by. Follow in the footsteps of the fresco painter Heinrich Bickel, who decorated the Fraundorfer Inn on Ludwigstrasse with a magnificent peasant wedding. You will also find the Werdenfelser Heimatmuseum nearby. Miraculously, the former merchant's house was spared from the flames during the great market fire in 1865. Today, you can learn about the history of the Werdenfelser Land on five floors.
