The Proserpina Reservoir is an ancient Roman dam located about 5 kilometers north of Mérida, in the province of Badajoz, Extremadura. Built in the 1st century BC, this reservoir is one of the oldest in Spain and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
