The Vilandredo Canyon is a very beautiful gorge in my opinion. Nevertheless, it is noticeably one of the lesser known on the island. Some of the paths have not been "maintained" for a long time and in places you have to look for them. Luckily you are in a gorge, so you really can't get lost and, if necessary, the creek bed, which was dried out at the time of my visit, will do the trick.
But because it is so unknown, you can enjoy the impressive natural spectacles away from the tourist crowds.
In my opinion, sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are absolutely necessary! Drinkable water was nowhere to be found in August/September!
It is best to combine a visit with the neighboring Moudrianou Gorge to experience a "lonely" circular hike.

If in the spring (March) sections of water flow through the gorge, it might be that you have to take off your shoes at one of the many vulnerable creek crossings. The parallel Mundros Gorge (Φαράγγι Μούνδρου) is less problematic in this respect.
