"... The Hermansbeek is a stream in Dutch South Limburg. The stream is a tributary of the Selzerbeek. It rises at the foot of the Vijlenerbossen near the farm Einrade. It flows between Holset and Harles towards the north-west side of Lemiers. The Hermansbeek lies roughly parallel to a low ridge east of the stream that stretches from the Vijlenerbos south of the village of Holset to Lemiers where the ridge gradually descends. This ridge separates Hermansbeek to the west of the village from Zieversbeek to the east. The Hermansbeek flows north of Lemiers at the Kasteelmolen of Lemiers Castle into the Selzerbeek Less than a kilometer north-west of the stream, the Harleserbeek flows roughly parallel.
The Hermansbeek is the fastest flowing stream in the Netherlands. It flows so fast that it has the character of a mountain stream. Beech punge grows in the stream. Alder groves and shrubs line the stream. In the creek swim the species of berms and minnows, which are found only in fast-flowing waters. ..."

A nice path along the bridge and the irrigation channel of the Hermansbeek.
