Hollange was a commune in the Department of Forests under the French revolutionary regime. In 1823, Sainlez and Strainchamps were added to him. During the merger of the communes of 1977, the village was integrated into the new commune of Fauvillers.

Hollange is a very quiet and characteristic Ardennes village in the province of Luxembourg, slightly off the main Ardennes road N4 and on the Strange, about 12 km south of Bastogne. This is where the Roman highways Arlon-Tongeren and Bavay-Trier once crossed. The area around Hollange was inhabited early on. In the portal of the stone church, a large Neolithic stone bears witness to this, where our Stone Age ancestors sharpened their weapons and tools.
