Signs for the Katzenpfad are sparse...
If you descend from Heuwegle to Bernecktal, you cross the road, which is a bit dangerous because you can't see the road and the traffic is very fast. After that, you'll find yourself in front of a small, romantic, self-made bridge. You should NOT cross it any further. Instead, you should continue to Forellen Hof, cross the bridge there and go right past the farm. AFTER the yellow route, go steeply up to the left and then follow the trail; always keep to the right. Signs for the Katzenpfad and the yellow diamond are a bit sparse, but they'll come again 😉

The Berneck Valley offers several alpine paths that can be used to reach the striking rocky peaks.
The best ones are all on the Katzenpfad, but if you end up off the beaten track, you should treat yourself to one of the climbs.

If you walk the Katzenpfad in the recommended direction, it goes from the Forellenhof up to the Heuwegle. It is actually very well marked. The road in the curve is dangerous. However, if you go exactly where it is marked, you have a good view in both directions. And off you go up. Steep up to the Heuwegle!
