    The village of Furore

    Furore, in the province of Salerno, is one of the most popular naturalistic destinations on the Amalfi coast which in 1997 was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Among olive trees, vineyards and lemon trees at 300 meters above sea level, this small village, divided into the three districts of Sant'Agnello, Sant'Elia and Santo Jaco, is known as the "town that does not exist" because the houses, scattered along the slopes of the Lattari mountains hide from the eyes of tourists. A fairly steep staircase leads to the famous Fiordo di Furore with its characteristic beach of only 25 meters and the seaside village, which after the recent recovery, has been included among the most beautiful villages in Italy.
