the proud alpine club hut is located in the rear Froßnitztal at 2608m above sea level. It is a base on the Venediger Höhenweg. Various entrances lead to the house.

1. Normal ascent over the Froßnitztal from Gruben 5-6 hours

2. Coming from Innergschlöss over Löbbentörl from Matreier Tauernhaus 5-6 hours

3. Coming from the Bonn-Matreier-Hütte over the Galtenscharte 3-4 hours (difficult, risk of falling rocks)

4. from Wildenkogelweg from Matreier Tauernhaus 5-6 hours (difficult, path finding)

The quaint Badener Hütte is already over 100 years old and can look back on a proud history. At the turn of the millennium, the hut was extensively modernized and today has its own small power plant and a water treatment plant.

The hut is one of the starting points for the ascent to the Großvenediger, but you should plan this tour only as a very experienced mountaineer or in the company of a mountain guide.
