Several memorial stones are spread across the heather and mislead some visitors. The first memorial stone that can be found on the hill after entering is dedicated to the former owner of the area. Wilhelm Asche was a big fan of the heath poet Hermann Löns. Wilhelm Asche's grave is under this stone. The second, large monument is dedicated to Hermann Löns, but not his grave. The Löns grave is signposted, and on the simple boulder it says "Here is Hermann Löns resting". The wolf angel underneath is a symbol that Hermann Löns was happy to put under his signature. You can find more information about Hermann Löns at: lueneburger-heide.de/service/sehenswuerdigkeit/14276/hermann-loens-grab.html
