In 1899 the narrow-gauge railway line between Ochsenhausen and Biberach and the station building built according to the strict guidelines of the Royal Württemberg State Railway were opened. Until 1964, the citizens of Ochsenhausen had access to the European rail network. Today the Öchsle-Bahn AG maintains the line and the Öchsle Schmalspurbahn e.V. ensures the ongoing museum operation with historical locomotives and wagons.

What Frieder says. The Öchsle station itself is pretty to look at in its dollhouse-like quality and of course it is an eye-catcher when the steam-powered "Öchsle" drives in or out.
