The Castle of San Giorgio is of Lombard-Norman origin and was built between the eighth and eleventh centuries.
Located on the stony mountain of Montecastello, today there are ruins and the three walls that surrounded it, interspersed with Norman turrets. The late Angevin tower was built at a later date, probably around the fourteenth century.
