The Panke flows along the Karow ponds through a densely green landscape. It's hard to imagine that you just walked under the autobahn.

You can hike or cycle along the Pankeweg from Berlin Central Station to Bernau. And all of that only in the countryside. The green main path no. 5 and the Via Imperii have the same route.

The path runs as a wide, easily accessible gravel path through the Karower Teiche landscape park, always along the Panke. Since the path is part of the Pankeradweg there are a lot of cyclists on the way - please be careful!
