After the church building of the Reformed Congregation in Tholen on Hoogaarsstraat was too small, the first pile for a larger church was driven on December 21, 2001. Almost two years later, on Wednesday September 3, 2003, the Rehoboth Church was inaugurated. The building was designed by architect Valk from Soest. The Strubbe organ from the old church building is said to be far too small for the new Rehoboth Church in Tholen, so that the construction of the new church in 2001 it was decided to look for another organ. Under the leadership of advisor Dirk Bakker, the Tholen organ committee discovered a Van Oeckelen organ from 1841. This was built for the Roman Catholic Academy or Broeren Church (dedicated to Saint Martin) in Groningen.

      History Rehoboth Church - Tholen

The Rehoboth Church is a church building in the city of Tholen, located on the Ds. G.H. Kerstenstraat 2.
The church building is used by the Reformed Church there.
      History
From 1902 onwards, this denomination worshiped in a building at Kruittoren 15, which was expanded in 1910, but was abandoned in 1972. The church had a Koppejan organ. This church was created by the renovation of two houses. The municipality was not officially institutionalized until 1906.

In 1972, a new, larger church was moved into at Hogaarsstraat 2. This church was built on a square plan and was covered by a tent roof. Although the church had 640 seats, it eventually became too small.
A larger church was therefore put into use in 2003, while the church on Hogaarsstraat was demolished in 2008 to make way for housing.

The new and current church, designed by architect Valk, has a Van Oeckelen organ from 1841, which was built for the Broerkerk in Groningen. After the demolition of this church in 1892, the organ served, among other things, in the Reformed Parklaan Church in Groningen.
The current church building is in modernist style and consists of a brick base, surmounted by a black top, both with a sloping roof.
The bell tower is a slender, green copper spire.
