The present-day Waldensian church, built in 1906 from local sandstone in the Neo-Gothic style, owes its existence to the initiative and dedication of Gustav Meerwein, who served as the local pastor from 1896 to 1912. The history of the Waldensians is still visible in many places: the Waldensian coat of arms with the motto "Lux lucet in tenebris" (Light shines in darkness) can be seen on the exterior facade above the entrance portal and inside on the pulpit.

The Waldesians are Protestants whose origin lies in France and dates back to the 12th century. Well before the Reformation. Expelled from France, a group of them founded today's Palmbach in 1701 with the permission of the then ruler.
The church was finished later in 1525. The oldest gravestones of Waldensians can be seen by the church.
Several information boards here and at the cemetery (Waldenser Weg Pambach) tell you more about this. I found it very exciting!
