The Basse-Cour farm
Its toponym indicates its geographical and historical proximity to the feudal castle of Walhain. The old Basse-Cour farm, which was located in the meadow opposite the castle postern, was dismantled during the 19th century. The circumstances that led to the gradual abandonment of the initial agricultural exploitation remain to be elucidated. The archaeological excavations carried out from 1998 to 2003 have made it possible to draw up its contours.
