Kurt Krumpmann was the honorary chairman of the Thuringian Forest Association for 30 years as a guide on numerous hikes. Together with a hiking friend, he reached the installation of the Sandacker refuge. In recognition of his services, the view from here is called “Kurt Krumpmann Blick”.
