The half-timbered house, built in 1559, has been owned by the “Heimat- und Kerwevereins Alt Weinheim e.V.” since 1970. It is the focus of one of the largest folk festivals on Bergstrasse, the Weinheimer Kerwe (Kirchweih), which takes place every year at the beginning of August.
