On the former Mont Cenis colliery site there is now an energy park and the Mont-Cenis Academy as a training academy of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. It's not just those who want to get an education from the Ministry who go here, there are also open offers. A special feature is the entire building under glass with solar fields, which attracts architecture enthusiasts to visit. 56 spruce trunks support the glass shell (180m x 75m). Underneath is a mild climate, timber clad buildings stand surrounded by grasses, gravel paths and fountains for example.
