The castle mill was built in 1846 and is now a listed landmark very close to Tranekær Castle. It was operated by the County of Tranekær for many centuries. In 1961 operations were stopped, and many years later the mill was sold. Restoration work began in 1982 and three years later the flour mill was opened as a museum. Further modernization work was carried out from 2008 onwards. A café is connected to the museum today. slotsmoelle.dk
