Hiking

The railway viaduct that crossed the Wurmtal near Teuterhof (Würselen-Kohlscheid) was blown up in 1967. It previously served the mining industry as a connection between the Gouley pit (Würselen-Morsbach) and the main line in Kohlscheid. The steep ascent leads to the hiking trail that leads over this former railway line.

Hiking

A few meters from the Teuterhof excursion restaurant, the stairs lead up to the former embankment of the Kohlscheid - Würselen - Stolberg railway line. The path leads up to the height of the former Wurmtal viaduct (blown up in 1967) and then continues on the railway line.

Hiking

Territory in black and white. The Gouley dump with its black soils and the lime dump with its white elevation, both with information boards, can be discovered here. The whites are carbonic lime residues from a former soda factory, some of which were deposited here. The Solvay factories ceased operations in 1929. This and further information can be found on a sign posted there.
