Trinity Buoy Wharf offers a fascinating insight into London's maritime history. The site was involved in development of early navigation buoys, lighthouses and lightships for Trinity House. Fantastic views of The O2 and Canary Wharf. Tasty food and drinks at Fat Boys American Diner and The Orchard Cafe.
Walk along Orchard Place and read the information boards to learn more about the history of local shipyards, whaling and railways.
Visit the nearby East India Dock Basin bird reserve to see some of London's maritime past.

Quirky, creative place. In the middle of London but on its own. Well worth a visit, fab Cafe too.

Loads of interesting things here - operational home of Trinity House who are responsible for all buoys, lighthouses and lightships around the UK, there is a lighthouse, a lightship that’s now a recording studio, a number of artists workshops and it’s home for ‘longplayer’ - a musical instrument designed to play for 1000 years before anything repeats
