The wavy college bridge leads you to the island - literally and figuratively. Because between the two arms of the Leie in Kortrijk lies the lively, hip Budo Island, where you will find numerous cafés, bars and shops and an entire art center and thus wonderful breaks from everyday life!
Our tip: Budo Beach - who needs Bali or the Bahamas anymore?

The Collegebrug is a pylon bridge for pedestrians and cyclists with a characteristic zigzag shape in the center of the city of Kortrijk. The bridge spans the river Leie and connects the Diksmuidekaai with the IJzerkaai. The slender construction is a technical tour de force as it is completely suspended from the two slanting pylons. It was designed by Laurent Ney in collaboration with SUM Project. The bridge owes its name to the nearby Kaai campus of the Guldenspoor College, for which it provides a bicycle connection to the Buda island.
The bridge was built in 2009. It is one of the seven bridges that were built in Kortrijk in connection with the reconstruction of the historic banks of the Leie.
