Tips
An absolute dream pass. Coming from the Tegernsee, the ascent is so gentle that you hardly notice anything and you can still make good speed. On the other side there is a rapid descent towards Sylvenstein, or even more mountains towards Archensee. Driving up here is really fun and not a torture.

Driving up from Tegernsee without torment, as the ascent is long but pleasantly low. You will be rewarded with a fast, winding descent towards the Sylvenstein reservoir.Nevertheless, the route should be avoided on nice, free days - it's an absolute car hell with a lot of traffic and no bike paths - that's not much fun :(
