From Ponöfen you have a completely different perspective of the Wetterstein massif including the Zugspitze. An asphalt path leads through wide fields of meadows lined with small huts. Everything is limited by the forest, which gives the whole thing a somewhat enchanted atmosphere. In spring and summer the meadows are covered with a multitude of flowers. An excursion is also worthwhile in autumn when the surrounding forests show themselves in soft autumn colors. In winter you can experience great winter hikes here.
