It is also a stone-age long-driftwood that gave its name to the new forest. Gulddyssen is located on Gulddyssevej, directly on the edge of the forest overlooking the Værebro river valley. The dolmen dates back to the Stone Age from the period between 3.950 and 2.801 BC. It measures 10x36 meters and has a well-preserved burial chamber and several curbs, some of which are still upright. The dolmen is a listed building. Despite the name, there is no evidence that you found gold in the tomb.
