The Ponte della Vittoria is a bridge that crosses the Piave river located in the town of San Donà di Piave. During its history, the bridge has undergone two reconstructions due to the conflicts of the First and Second World War. The first wooden bridge was built in August 1876 by the Lazzaris-Wiel company; however a flood of 1882 completely destroyed it. Later, in 1884, the reconstruction work on the bridge began, this time built in iron and supported by four piles of masonry columns. During the Second World War, the bridge was again destroyed by an Anglo-American aerial bombardment in October 1944. The reconstruction works began in 1946 and were completed in 1950, renaming it "Ponte della Vittoria" that is the bridge that has come up to date. . Ponte della Vittoria crosses the Piave river and the SS14 that crosses the bridge acts as the main link between the towns of San Donà and Musile.
