The pontoon bridge of Caposile is a floating crossing south of the town of the same name, on the last stretch of the cut of the Sile, at the confluence with the Piave Vecchia. It is one of the 7 pontoon bridges currently functioning in Italy; allows you to reach the so-called “Salsi” area, a long narrow strip of territory towards the northern lagoon of Venice.

From a structural point of view, it consists of a steel deck resting on five concrete boats. Its construction, which dates back to the 1960s, allowed direct road crossings (without passing through Jesolo) also permitting the fluvial transit of boats, which in the past were above all "burci" of considerable size that carried large loads of "litter ” (marsh grass) to feed the brick kilns in the Treviso area.

Even today, during the period from June to August, the bridge respects fixed opening hours.
