The tower is the tallest in Taiwan and was considered the highest in the world before the Burj Khalifa, until it is then tapped by more and more buildings in the world. At present, it is only the highest tower in the world (as of 2017) and the tallest tower in Southeast Asia. For around 10 euros entrance you get 2 viewing platforms and the wind damper to face.

Taipei's landmark is easily accessible by the red line (Tamayu-Xinyi-Line). But it is also nice on foot, because then you can take the surrounding parks.
