The tower is the tallest in Taiwan and was considered the highest in the world before the Burj Khalifa, until it is then tapped by more and more buildings in the world. At present, it is only the highest tower in the world (as of 2017) and the tallest tower in Southeast Asia. For around 10 euros entrance you get 2 viewing platforms and the wind damper to face.

Taipei 101, officially known as the Taipei Financial Center, is Taipei's urban landmark. In 2004, the building was opened after five years of construction.
It makes sense to reserve tickets online, you can then simply print them on the machine itself. It's easy.
The best time to visit is certainly the time just before sunset. But it is also the most complete and you are in line for an eternity, even if you have reserved a ticket. I was very early in the morning, right after the opening, on the tower - lovely, very few people, a lot of space! :O)

Taipei's landmark is easily accessible by the red line (Tamayu-Xinyi-Line). But it is also nice on foot, because then you can take the surrounding parks. The entrance fee is 600 NTD, currently about 18 Euro. If you come by the afternoon, you do not need to pre-reserve and have hardly any waiting time.
