Towpath Kemnade

Especially romantic resting place with a view to the castle Blankenstein. In summer extended lawns and idyllic groynes, which are often used as (unofficial) swimming.

The marked section describes the cycle path downstream of the Kemnader reservoir on the Bochum side.
The path is nice but has some hiccups and tight bends.
The view is great!
At the Kemnader reservoir itself you can go cycling. Flat and beautiful route, well paved and partly with separate paths for pedestrians, inliners and cyclists.

At the old ferry in Stiepel: The Ruhr seen from the pier, from east to west.
And if you need a break: the restaurant "Andres Alte Fähre" is next door.
