The new Pioneer Bridge in Templin consists of a covered truss structure. It serves as a bicycle and pedestrian bridge and was built in 2003/04. The bridge not only connects the eastern and western parts of the city, but is also part of the first construction phase of the Uckermark Cycle Route, the 85 km long Lychen-Templin-Stolpe section.
