This district used to be called 'Little Moscow'. Some housewives were very active in the Communist Party.

The information board is located directly on the Pioneer Bridge, which since its construction has secured the transition from the city center to the residential area "Little Moscow". Incidentally, this name is only familiar to a few older residents, because it actually only refers to five private homes on Knehdener Straße: house numbers 76, 82, 84, 88 and 92. Among the first residents were some supporters of the KPD (Communist Party of Germany) and so the settlement was eventually jokingly called "Little Moscow". Source: templin.de/klein-moskau
