The coast of Zambujeira do Mar is a pure natural spectacle: steep cliffs falling into the Atlantic, small hidden beaches, and a silence that, outside the high season, seems infinite. This area is part of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park and is a haven for wildlife, especially storks, which nest on the cliffs.
When cycling here, you'll share the path with the famous Trilho dos Pescadores (Fishermen's Trail), so slow down on the curves and enjoy the route calmly. Between beaches like Alteirinhos, Carvalhal, or Tonel, every kilometer is a mixture of raw beauty and freedom.

The coast around the town is part of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park and consists of steep rocky cliffs and small sandy beaches in places where the rivers flow into the sea. Outside the tourist season, this area is deserted. In addition to the beach below the town, there are the beaches of Alteirinhos, Nossa Senhora, Arquinha, Carvalhal and Tonel.
