The fountain has been around since 1966. The crowning fountain figure is a pair of traditional costumes from the workshop of the Schonach sculptor Otto Pfaff.
In 2011 the figure of the traditional fountain was renovated. As early as 2001, instead of the rotten wooden well trough, a bowl stone was set up as a well stick.
