Langå Church was originally built in the Romanesque period around 1100/1200. The church bell is also from this time, it is the oldest bell in the area. The building was made of rough boulders with a sloping square base. In the late Gothic period (1400–1550) the church was rebuilt, the nave was extended to the west and the tower was built, which in turn was changed during later reconstructions.
