On the wooden footbridge near the Flootsmühle you are in the middle of the Krickenbecker Seen nature discovery area. The pond is spawning water for frogs, newts and other amphibians and serves as a retreat for many bird species. Whether in the reed belt or in the polluted willows - there is always something to watch in this small natural oasis. The access path is barrier-free without steps and with little slope so that the wooden platform on the water can also be reached by wheelchair. Overall, there are wheelchair-accessible circular routes and six color-coded hiking routes of different lengths in the nature experience area. It's not far from the jetty to the historic Flootsmühle. The remaining miller's house is not open to the public because it is now used as a private residence.
