In 1969 the Müller family took over the Moorhütte and turned it into a cozy restaurant. The rush to the restaurant was so great that the restaurant had to be expanded in the early 1970s. Since a large oak tree stood in the way of expansion and Mr. Müller, who was known as a nature lover, did not want to cut it down, it was integrated into the dining room without further ado. However, the "Alte Moorhütte" has never lost its hut character through expansion and conversion. The dense arrangement of the tables in the dining room still leads to quick conviviality today.
