If you take Schlaufenweg 19 to Greding, the Church of St. Paul's Conversion welcomes you after the Heiligenholz forest section.

This stately country church, whose origins date back to the late Middle Ages, is reminiscent of the local style both inside and out. In the mid-18th century, the church was remodeled in the Baroque style and equipped with three remarkable altars. Two late Gothic statues of John the Baptist and the church's patron saint, Paul, flank the main altar. The Apostle to the Gentiles can be seen twice more in the church: The painting on the main altar depicts his encounter with the risen Christ at the gates of Damascus. And the ceiling painting depicts Paul preaching in Athens on the Areopagus.

This church was dedicated to Saint Paul. Initially an opponent of the Christian movement, he was not called to the apostleship by Jesus Christ during his lifetime like the other apostles, but was only later converted through the famous "Damascus Experience."

His attribute, with which he is usually depicted in paintings or as a statue, is the sword with which he was executed. According to Roman law at the time, such a sentence was a "privilege" (a quick death, not associated with a long, painful agony like other forms of execution) reserved for the citizens of Rome.

Peter, along with Paul, is also known as the "Prince of the Apostles." Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is June 29th.
