Before the old trade and army road at the "Pass von Waidhaus" leads downhill in an easterly direction to the border, the parish church of St. Emmeram appears on the right-hand side. No information can be found in the literature as to when a parish church was first built in Waidhaus. Waidhaus is already mentioned in the church in 1326, the parish church is dedicated to St. Emmeram. In 1592 a major repair of the existing church took place. 1782 and 1868 were years of destruction and rebuilding due to fire. The cemetery around the church was leveled in 1952. From 1952 to 1956 the church was expanded. The last interior renovation was carried out in 2017 and the last exterior renovation in 2000.
