Beautiful little castle complex in the forest near Buchau. However, the castle is privately owned. It was built in the 13th / 14th Century. After the Peasant War it was renewed by the Giech family. Until its extinction, Buchau was the seat of the Giech family's own line. In the 19th century, additions and renovations were carried out in the neo-Gothic style.

Mountain biking

Buchau Castle is very hidden and dreamy below Buchau in the forest and can best be found if you follow the signs for the restaurant "Zum Paul". Both buildings form a beautiful unit. The 13th century castle was once owned by the zu Giech family and has been privately owned for a long time. Hissing the restaurant and the castle is a very romantic beer garden.
